Apartments in Paris, Rivoli

Rivoli

This charming apartment is situated in the very heart of Paris, on the Rue de Rivoli, one of the most famous streets of the City. This street was originally built by the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte to commemorate his early victory against the Austrian army at Rivoli in 1797. Its magnificently arcaded section stretches from the front of the Louvre palace/museum, passes by the garden of the Tuileries and finishes at the Place de la Concorde.

Category: 4 Star
Area: 1st Arrondissement
Code: MA
Minimum Stay: One Week
Maximum Occupancy: Up to 3 persons

When you walk out of your apartment, you will be facing the main entrance of the Louvre, home to one of the greatest collections of art and where the main fashion shows and antiques fairs take place. Place Vendome, which houses the most famous jewelers in the world, Rue St. Honoré rich with the most renowned designer clothes and antique shops, The Palais Royal, the Seine, the Opera house and Notre Dame are all but a few minutes walk. This area was and continues to be the home of the powerful, rich and famous as well as many great intellectuals.

The apartment is in the courtyard of an early 19th century building, on the 3 rd French floor (no elevator), so that, even though it is on a main street, there is absolutely no noise from the street and you will sleep like royalty. It is a 3 room apartment measuring 38 sq. meters or 410 sq. feet. There is a dining room, living room, bedroom as well as a separate kitchen, bathroom and toilets. It has been decorated very tastefully with antiques, objects and artwork in the style of the French boudoirs of the 18th and 19th centuries, floors are wood parquet, Versailles style and stone (in the dining room and kitchen) with persian rugs.

It is possible to sleep three people in this luxury suite : two in the original 19th century romantic pink and gold queen-size bed and one on the empire style sofa/bed which is in the living room. There is plenty of closet space in both the living room and the bedroom. Even though you are in a setting from another time in history, you will find all the regular mod cons that you would expect: flat-screen television, wireless high-speed internet connection, a telephone for local calls. The bathroom is equipped with bath, hairdryer and towel heater. The kitchen has a small grill, toaster, coffee percolator, vitro-ceramic hub and refrigerator.
