The villa goes back to the sixteenth century, but it was modified in the seventeenth century by Ercole Sfondrati. The mansion has a marvellous panoramic view on Varenna village, a lovely tourist village on Lake Lecco.

The villa is near Varenna, on the Lecco side of the lake. The water of the nearby stream complements the fountains of the garden, where there is an elegant pavilion, tea room, entertainment room and billiard room.

Inside the ancient atmosphere has remained the same, and the lakeside has a private dock.
