Villa Concetta is located in the town of Argegno which is situated in a large, sunny inlet on the western shore of Lake Como. It sits between Laglio, where George Clooney has a house, and Tremezzo, a favorite destination of Kofi Annan and other VIPs. Argegno is one of the most popular spots for tourists on Lake Como. It has a pleasant climate and it is mild even in the winter months. Its origin is Roman, as proven by the stone bridge on Telo steam. The ancient center of the village is very picturesque. A good number of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and pubs attract tourists from all over the western shore of the lake. The city of Como is a 15 minute drive, but is also easily accessible via hyrdofoil or touist boats on Lake Como. From Agregno, one can take a cable car up to Pigra and Argegno-Cima della Duaria convervation area, which is situated on a plateau which boasts beautiful views of the lake and of the pre-Alps.
The villa was originally built in 1911 by a wealthy industrial family from Milan. The house and garden was fully restored in 2002, preserving all of the ancient details and materials. The marble and terracotta floors, doors, ironwork and decorations are original from 1911. Antique furniture, paintings and statues create a very exclusive atmosphere.
Villa Concetta consists of a main villa which sleeps 8 on three floors plus an independent guest house which sleeps up to 4 on two floors. There is also a furnished patio and breakfast area which overlooks the fully equipped swimming pool and spectacular garden that is also part of the property.
