This apartment is right in the heart of the Roman historical center. Via Giulia is a 16th century fashionable street connecting St. Peter's to central Rome, parallel with the Tiber. Pope Julius II commissioned Bramante to construct the first straight road leading directly to the Vatican with imposing elegant palazzi, giving birth to Via Giulia.
Farther along the street there is Palazzo Falconieri, Palazzo Sacchetti and the old church of San Eligio. Today it still remains one of the most exclusive areas in Rome. This elegant residential district with it's cobblestoned streets and antique shops somehow remains peaceful giving the feel of a Rome long since past. At your doorstep is Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese and Pantheon.
This large apartment is on the second floor of a restored 16th century building with an elevator. It has about 130 sq.m. There is an entrance that leads to a bright living room with two tall windows. The high colored ceiling is a hand painted fresco crossed by wooden beams, and the floor is terra-cotta. There is a comfortable double sofabed, two easy chairs, an olive wooden chest of drawers and a dining area.
Off a long corridor, there are the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has two twin beds (can be joined into a queen size bed) and an olive wood wardrobe. Adjacent, there is the first full bathroom with a box-shower and heated towel racks. It is tiled with sparkle white and green ceramics.
At the end of the corridor there is the master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, a dressing mirror and an en-suite bathroom with hand-painted ceramics. It has a bathtub with hand-held shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a marble table with two chairs.
Amenities: telephone, television, washing machine, stove, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and autonomous heating.
