| Antico Borgo San Lorenzo is a complex of ancient buildings used originally as an agricultural farm located in the town of Poggibonsi which is in the heart of Tuscany, just 40km from Florence and 25km from Siena. In ancient times, it was owned by the Goths and used as a home and place of worship, and then later by the noble Sienese family, the Tolemei. In medieval times it became a place of hospitality and catering for merchants and travelers from northern Europe who were moving on foot to Rome for a pilgrimage or for business. The Borgo was purchased in 1990 by the Bandini family and was restored with great care and has been converted into a set of pleasant and elegant homes for guests.
There are nine apartments available for guests at the Antico Borgo San Lorenzo, each one housing between 2 and 8 people. Special antique furniture, terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings give each of the apartments a rustic touch along with a classic tuscan feel. Each of the apartments has its own separate entrance along with an outdoor green area as well as a double bedded room with a separate bath.

- Rosa Bianca - Sleeps 8/9 people - 1,500 sq. ft. Four-bedroom, Three-bathroom. The Rosa Bianca villa is located on the first floor of the owner's house. It consists of three double-bedrooms, one single-bedroom, a spacious living room, a big kitchen, and three bathrooms with bathtub and shower. The interior, photographed by architects of international journals, has been furnished with particular care in traditional Tuscan style. The bathrooms are clad with precious majolica from Voetri and worked by hand tiles. Guests can enjoy a nice outdoor gazebo. See photos of the villa.
- Cipresso - Sleeps 4/5 pepole - 1,075 sq. ft. Two level Two-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Cipresso apartment is located on the first floor of the Canonica (Vicarage). On this floor, there is a large living/dining room with an antique fireplace, a kitchen, a double-bedroom and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The second floor contains a large bedroom with a double and single bed. The apartment has air-conditioning. Outside guests can enjoy an area furnished with sofas, chairs and garden furniture. - Fico - Sleeps 4 people - 970 sq. ft. Two-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Fico apartment lies on the ground floor of the Canonica (Vicarage), and has a wonderful view of the hills and vineyards as well as the valley of the river Elsa. It consists of a large living room, kitchen with balcony, one twin bedroom, one double bedroom, and a bathroom with bathtub and shower. - Ginestra - Sleeps 4/5 people - Two-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Ginestra apartment was derived from the old barn of the farm, and overlooks the valley below with beautiful views. It consists of a large living/dining room with kitchen, a double bedroom, a room with three single beds, and a bathroom with shower. - Alloro - Sleeps 2/3 people - 860 sq. ft. One-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Alloro apartment is on the first floor of the Canonica (Vicarage). It consists of an elegant living room with kitchen, a double bedroom with the possibility of adding a third bed, and a spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower. - Albicocco - Sleeps 2 people - 430 sq. ft. One-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Albicocco apartment is a romantic little house with a view over the swimming pool of the Borgo. The interior is composed of a living room with kitchen and a double bedroom. The apartment has air-conditioning. - Granaio - Sleeps 2 people - 485 sq. ft. Two level One-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Granaio apartment, which was previously used for drying the grain, is on the ground floor with the living-dining room and kitchen area, and on the first floor with a double bedroom and a bathroom. - Girasole - Sleeps 2 people - Two level One-bedroom, one-bathroom. The Girasole apartment is very nice and romantic. On the ground floor there is the living/dining room with kitchen and a bathroom, and on the first floor there is a double bedroom. The apartment has air-conditioning. - Villetta - Sleeps 5 people - Three-bedroom, two-bathroom. The Granaio and Girasole apartments, connected with each other through two interior doors, give rise to this independent villa which is well appreciated by large families or couples with children. The villa is composed of three double bedrooms with the possibility of adding a third single bed, a living-dining room with kitchen area and two bathrooms. The apartment has air-conditioning. The exterior, shaded by pine and olive trees, gives this villa a particular privacy.
