Its gardens guarantee complete privacy. Its architecture, furnishings and décor are of late 16th century noble Tuscan style.

Code: IT-120
Area: Tuscany, opposite the island of Elba
Minimum Stay: 1 Week
Maximum Occupancy: 20 persons

Castello Di Magona is designed on two floors which include 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

On the ground floor, we find a very important entrance hall enriched with oil paintings and furnished with an important 18th century wooden table. On entering, to the left of the entrance hall is a small sitting room, containing an antique wooden desk (Reception), a bookcase, and a sitting area. At the end of the entrance hall, and to the left we reach another sitting room with a fireplace and a bar in the corner. There is also an intimate living room richly furnished with an antique chest, two very comfortable sofas covered in a rich damask fabric, a television and a DVD player.

On the right hand side of the entrance hall, there is a ceramic tiled and well lit dining room, where guests will enjoy their buffet breakfast, along with lunch and dinner should they so choose.

The first floor can be reached via two staircases; one to the left and one to the right of the entrance hall. The staircase to the right of the entrance hall is a grand structure furnished with two antique suits of armor. It leads to the impressive Grand Duke's bedroom (Suite 3). This suite, which is painted cardinal red, looks out onto both the front and rear gardens. It also contains antique furnishings, including a 17th century headboard, bookcases and grand piano. The second staircase also leads to two other suites (Suites 1 & 2), one overlooking the southern garden, and the other with a view of the northern garden.

At the top of the second staircase, we come across a lovely suite with a large terrace (Suite 7), decorated in the soothing shade of green. Near this suite, we find two double bedrooms (Rooms 5 & 6) and another suite (Suite 4).

Descending this staircase, to the right at the mezzanine level, there is a small lounge equipped with a television and an internet point. Wi-Fi access is available on most of the ground floor in the common areas, including the garden area and in a majority of the bedrooms. Continuing downstairs, there is a double bedroom (Room 9), a junior suite (Suite 8) and a staircase which leads to another junior suite (Suite 10) in the attic. This room features exposed wood beams and a commanding view of the landscape.

On entering the rear garden of the Castello, via the glass doors at the end of the entrance hall, there is a well kept rose garden and lawn area with comfortable outdoor lounges. It is an ideal place to enjoy a cool drink during the hot summer evenings. To the right there is another area with chairs, tables and canvas umbrellas where one can have breakfast or dine during the summer months, or perhaps even have lunch during the first warm spring days.

Below the garden, in an enlcosed area, there is the swimming pool, which is in use from mid-May to the end of September. The swimming pool looks over a split level olive grove and, during the hot summer hours is shaded by centuries-old, maritime pine trees. This area also has a changing room with a bathroom.

All the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, private safe, and television. The bathrooms are all hand painted with travertine marble and equipped with hairdryers and a full set of bath towels.

Castello DI Magona's weekly rental is inclusive of taxes, utilities (except heating), and unlimited Wi-Fi access. There is an extra services fee to be paid locally which includes daily cleaning of the bedrooms and lounges, swimming pool and grounds maintenance, supply and changing of bedding, bath and pool towels on Saturday and Wednesday as well as the final cleaning.
