| The village of Il Melone has eight spacious apartments and has been restored with extreme care in keeping the original nature of every detail. In the last century it was truly an independent little village with a main central villa, and with the surrounding residences of the farmhands. It is here that were also housed all the tools needed for the production of the local goods: olive oil, wine, wheat, etc. It is therefore as homage to the original function of this complex and to all the values that this past civilization was able to affirm that the names of today's living units ideally repeat the main expressions of such an industrious culture.

Visiting Il Melone, one can find the "house of silk", the "house of grapes", the "house of olive oil", etc. All have kept their subtle elegance, having been renovated with infrastructures, period antiques and tasteful interior design to satisfy the needs of the modern living and especially those of the third millennium tourism. Inside, there is also a little Chapel, which reflects the religious character and nature of this ancient village and of its self-sufficient and dynamic community. It is today a reminder to our visitors that in this village they can find all they could possibly need. Among its offers "Il Melone" has an excellent restaurant, a swimming pool with cabanas, a large parking area, and grand rooms for meetings and cultural events. All of this is accompanied, of course, looking toward the hill, by the view of Cortona and its marvels, then. looking down to the valley, by the unmistakable charm of the eternal resting place of the Etruscan Princes. All apartments are equipped with a furnished kitchen, independent heating system, telephone in each room, satellite TV, internet access and are furished with some antique furniture. A change of linen is provided once per week. The property is equipped with a large swimming pool with hydro massage, showers and dressing rooms, as well as a pool bar.
