Historic Spanish Tower tucked away in a magical corner of Southern Tuscany, perched up on top of a cliff which overlooks the sea. The Talamonaccio Tower was erected to protect against the Saracen invasions. Recently it has undergone restoration and is now the idea property to rent for an extraordinary holiday.

The tower is set on private land which is closed with an electronic security gate. Guests will be thoroughly impressed with the wonderful view and natural beauties which stretch out from every corner of the tower. A small boulevard of magnificent agavi cacti lead to the front door, creating a romantic and exotic atmosphere.

Through the front door on the right, is a wide dining area with a fireplace, and two double bedrooms. Each bedroom has an independent bathroom, one with a tub and the other with a shower. Continuing on along the entrance corridor to the left of the dining room is a fully equipped modern kitchen and, at the end of the corridor, another bedroom which also has its own bathroom with shower and tub.

At the end of this corridor, a staircase leads to the first floor where guests find an enormous living room with air-conditioning and a fireplace and a fabulous panoramic view. This living room is furnished with comfortable lounge chairs and couches on one side of the room, and an antique wooden table for eight on the other side. This room gives access to a splendid terrace which is can be used for both dining and sunbathing. The breathtaking view captures Proto S. Stefano and the hills of Mount Argentario as well as Talamon with its charming walled town among the hills of Uccellina National Park. The islands of Giannutri, Giglio and Montecristo can also be seen from the terrace.

From the open space on the ground floor, there is a staircase which leads to the lookout tower. This has also been restored and is divided into two floors. The lower level has a bedroom with fireplace, and the upper level has a sitting room, dressing room, small bathroom with shower, and a terrace.

La Torre di Talamonaccio is equpped with satellite television and internet. Every window has mosquito screens and every bedroom has ceiling fans.

The tower is surrounded by a terrace which has been transformed into a splendid panoramic lookout amongst the greenery of the garden. It is the perfect setting to soak up the sun in a deck chair, take a dip in the swimming pool, or after sunset, enjoy the company of good friends and a glass of wine. The tower also has its own independent walking trail which leads directly to the sea, and its own private sunbathing deck.

La Torre di Talamonaccio's weekly rental is inclusive of taxes, utilities (except heating), and unlimited Wi-Fi access. There is an extra services fee to be paid locally which includes housekeeping by one person for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week, cleaning and maintenance of the garden and swimming pool (3 times a week), supply and changing of bedding, bath and pool towels on Saturday and Wednesday as well as the final cleaning. Extra services not included in this fee are catering services for the preparation and service of lunch, and dinner, extra housekeeping, additional bed linens and towels, other laundry or ironing services and heating.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

If you are arriving from the north, take Tollway A12 which follows the Ligurian coast from Genoa to Pisa. From Pisa follow the direction "Grosseto - Roma". Exit tollway towards "Rosignano Marittimo", and continue on Highway SS1 (Aurelia) towards Grosseto. Immediately after the exit for "Fonteblanda", at Km. 157.1 on your right, you will see a small road, "Via Tito Paffetti". Follow the signs for "Torre di Talamonaccio" until you reach the entrance gate.

If you are arriving from the south, take Tollway A12 until Civitavecchia. Continue on Highway SS1 (Aurelia) in the direction of Grosseto. Exit at "Fonteblanda", then re-enter the highway in the direction of Roma and after 30mt., at Km. 157.1 on your right, you will see a small road, "Via Tito Paffetti". Follow the signs for "Torre di Talamonaccio" untily you reach the entrance gate.

If you are arriving from Siena, take Highway S223 to Grosseto. Then thak the SS1 (Aurelia) in the direction of Roma. Immediately for "Fonteblanda", at Km. 157.1 on your right, you will see a small road, "Via Tito Paffetti". Follow the signs for "Torre di Talamonaccio" until you reach the entrance gate.
