| Santa Teresa di Gallura lies on the northernmost
coast of Sardinia, in front of the incomparable scenic beauty
of the archipelago of Maddalena. Villa Francesca lies about
4 kms from the village, on the hills just behind the famous
beaches at Marmorata, which are about 3 kms away. The villa
lies inside a very secluded residential complex, and is surrounded
by a large, enclosed garden of 3,000 sq.m. with typical Mediterranean
vegetation, looking towards the coast with a beautiful view
of the sea and of the beaches of Marmorata. It comes equipped
with barbeque, telephone, dishwasher, washing machine, satellite
TV and stereo with CD player. The furnishings are in modern
style, are well looked-after and are of excellent quality.
On the outside there are two covered verandas, furnished with
tables and chairs for dining outside. Santa Teresa di Gallura
is one of the best-known bathing areas in Sardinia. From the
harbor ferries go to Corsica and for trips to the nearby Maddalena
islands. The sea is crystal-clear and much sought-after by
sub-aqua enthusiasts, the light breezes are ideal for those
who like surfing. The restaurants in the area offer some of
the best local Sardinian cuisine. Porto Cervo, much sought-after
by VIPs, is about 50 kms away. Olbia, where most people arrive
either by ferry or by airplane is about 60 kms away.
