Villa Lusern lies inside a large estate in the Chianti Fiorentino area about 10 kms from Florence and 8 from San Casciano Val di Pesa, in a panoramic position surrounded by beautiful countryside. The villa was built in the 1800s in the period when Florence became the capital of Italy, and has been subsequently renovated and increased in size to its present majestic and welcoming aspect, with four levels connected by an internal staircase. The two lower floors hold the living-rooms and the domestic service area with the large dining-room leading to the rear of the garden with a patio surrounded by a large balcony running along the whole of the rear facade of the villa. The furnishings consist of comfortable period pieces matching the architecture of the building, and the house is equipped with central heating, telephone, satellite-TV and stereo with CD player. The kitchen is also well-equipped, and you can hire a cook with costs to be paid on the premises. From the windows of the bedrooms you can enjoy the beautiful view of the countryside and in the distance you can take in the panorama of Florence and of the hills overlooking it. The large garden has relaxation areas, a small artificial lake, the private swimming-pool and a private chapel which is available for religious ceremonies. The nearest village is at Chiesanova, where you will find food shops, and all other services can be found at San Casciano Val di Pesa. On the farm within the estate you can buy the chianti wine and olive-oil produced there.
