| While admiring the sea from the terraces of Marina Grande you get the same sensation as you get leaning over the railings of a cruise ship, and in fact the main characteristic of this villa is its positioning right on the edge of the coast on a cliff above the sea. It lies about 50 metres as the crow flies from Villa Mondomio (another villa in our catalogue) and you arrive there via a separate gate straight from the road that runs all the way along the Amalfi Coast. It is completely private and has this exceptional panoramic view of the sea. As there is no direct access to the sea, we suggest you reach the pebble beach in the natural fiord, located about 200m walking distance from the property. The villa is in two parts, connected by an external staircase. The building has been recently renovated and given life by interesting architectural features and excellent quality furnishings. From the terrace, which is furnished for dining outside, you can go straight down to the sea along a stairway that leads to a natural rock platform. Less confident swimmers can visit the pebble beach in the natural fiord at Furore about 200 metres from the property, or can go to Praia, which not only has a pebble beach, but also a romantic walkway along the base of the panoramic rocks, where you will also fine excellent, typical local restaurants. The village of Praiano, which has food shops, bars and restaurants is about 5 kms away, whereas Amalfi and Positano are respectively 6 and 9 kms away. Marina Grande lies at the centre of the Amalfi Coast and is therefore an ideal place for taking sightseeing trips - there are many places to visit and each one has its own intrinsic worth.
