Villa Mondomio

Villa Mondomio -- Villa Mondomio, located overhanging the Furore fjord, the only existing fjord in Italy, is a modern villa of eclectic design and irregular shape, in keeping with the harshness of the rock upon which it is built, and which has also been used in its construction. The property is surrounded by a garden of mediterranean plants, and by terraces overlooking the sea. It has two stairways leading down to the sea; one emerges close to the beach of Furore, set into the fjord and surrounded by ancient dwellings once fishermen's cottages, while the other leads to a small private jetty. The villa consists of a main building and two annexes, of which one, lying in a little apart, is inhabited by the warden and his wife. All things considered, the villa sits in a highly panoramic position, half-way between Praiano and Amalfi, and very close to the Grotto dello Smeraldo. Distances: Amalfi 6 km, Positano 9 km.

Access to the villa is via steps down the cliff (about 60 steps).

GROUND FLOOR: Large living-room/dining-room with fireplace and access to terrace with sea view, billiard room and access to grotto, kitchen with access to terrace, bathroom with WC.

FIRST FLOOR: twin bedroom which looks onto on the living-room and with access to terrace, double bedroom, bathroom with WC, shower dug out of the rock. Private outdoor areas, 1 private outside parking space.

ANNEX: which is reached via about 40 steps: FIRST FLOOR: living-room with dining area and corner kitchen, 1 double bedroom, bathroom with shower, large panoramic terrace and view of the sea.
