La Rupe del Pensatore is a unique property, a place where man's tenacity has rendered possible that which seemed impossible. Built into the rock walls above the sea, the property is perfectly integrated into this very special natural background. Geographically La Rupe del Pensatore lies about half-way between Sorrento and Positano, but the sensation when you enter the gate of the property is that of entering a dream world. It is unlike any other place you have ever seen. Its characteristic micro-climate has allowed the creation of a garden rich with tropical plants that borders a narrow path for about 350 meters up to the entrance of the house. Passing through the house and exiting on the other side you will find even more surprises. First you will find the external kitchen furnished with a grill and a pizza oven followed by the panoramic terraces, the swimming-pool (8x3m) with hydro massage and finally you will reach the marvelousl grotto with a corner bar and the "pensatoio" - a quiet spot for losing yourself in pleasant thoughts - a terrace with breathtaking views which ends this enchanting walk and where a Peregrine falcon has made its nest -perched high on the rock face. The legendary islands called Li Galli are a constant part of the panorama from the house. Due to its special location, this villa is not considered suitable for children under 6 years old. Sorrento lies about 6kms away. The nearest, rocky, beach is about 1.5 kms away, and the nearest sandy beach is in Positano, 8 kms.

The villa is divided into several different levels - access is along a private lane with about 80 steps.

GROUND FLOOR:
Large living-room with dining area and fireplace, kitchen, studio with single sofa-bed, bathroom with WC, laundry, access to the external kitchen equipped with wood-burning oven and grill and from where you access the swimming-pool, the grotto, and at the end the "pensatoio".

FLOOR BELOW:
1 twin bedroom with view of the sea with bathroom with WC and washbasin, 1 double bedroom with view of the sea with bathroom with hip-bath and shower.

UPPER FLOOR:
Living-room with air-conditioning, 1 double bedroom with large picture windows with view of the sea and air-conditioning, 1 bathroom with shower. From the living-room you come to a single bedroom via a spiral staircase which is equipped with gymnastics equipment and air-conditioning, sauna, 1 WC, shower, access to the small panoramic terrace.

OUTSIDE:
Laundry, private swimming-pool with WC with washbasin and shower.

The villa is equipped with microwave oven, washing-machine, dishwasher, wood-burning oven, satellite-TV, CD player, DVD, telephone, air-conditioning in all the bedrooms.
