Villa Zobi lies inside the large estate of S. Andrea, which spreads out over 600 hectacres in the heart of the chianti classico region, and the main buildings of the company are housed in the ancient hamlet of Fabbrica. The villa is about 2 kms from the main buildings, in a panoramic position with a wonderful view of the chianti countryside, with olive groves and vineyards alternating with small oak woods. It is furnished with typical tuscan furniture and has all the usual comforts: dish-washer, satellite TV in the living-rooms, stereo with CD player, telephone, safe, washing-machine and a very well-equipped kitchen. In the enclosed garden, besides the private 5x11m swimming-pool, guests also have the use of a shady patio with barbecue, ideal for dining outside. In the village of Fabbrica you can visit the old wine-cellars and the oil-press, with the opportunity of tasting both wine and olive-oil. You can also buy wine direct from the farm. About 2 kms away you will find tennis-courts and 8 kms away a good quality horse-riding centre. Florence and Siena can easily be reached down the dual-carriageway (superstrada) and are respectively 20 and 40 kms away. You are also close to the best-known sightseeing in Chianti and to San Gimignano, which is little more than 30 kms away. Nearby there are several restaurants that offer excellent tuscan cooking and high-quality local wines. The property borders on the Antinori estates and is close to the splendid abbey at Badia di Passignano.
