This impressive estate, Son Salas, lies in the valley of Sóller, surrounded by 50 hectare grounds. Its origins date back to a 17th century oil mill. The architect Axel Ball, designer of several internationally acclaimed buildings, has been living and working here over the last few years. The carefully chosen interior decor with Spanish antiques, the large kitchen with fireplace, marble bathrooms and many other conveniences on the 600 sq. m. living area, such as a piano and an extensive video library, are indications of the splendour of the estate. The spacious inner courtyard, typical of Spanish manor houses, with its lush display of tropical plants, is the ideal spot to retreat to in the hot summer months. The garden offers ample opportunity for relaxation with its tennis court, innumerable orange, lemon and olive trees from which the guests are free to sample the fruits, and the 16 x 6 swimming pool (run by healthy and environmentally-friendly chlorine-free technology). A special privilege for the guests of Son Salas is the access to the private bathing beach at Lluc Alcari. The staff will gladly assist the guests with any individual requirements on request.
