- On Southwark Bridge Road just south of Union Street.
- Nearest tube stops: Borough (5 minutes away), London Bridge (10 minutes away)
- Two bathrooms -- one with shower and bidet, the other with a large bath and hand shower. The one with the shower had a 'hidden' washer/dryer under the countertop on the right hand side.
- The hot water is on a timer - available 24 hours a day.

- There is a mini-sound system with remote control in the main room and a radio-alarm in the bedroom.
- There are two lines on the telephone - so you can be on the internet and call or receive calls.
- Housekeeper will change the beds once a week according to your arrival date (or any other time as arranged).
- The nearest Tesco's is over the bridge on Queen Victoria street.
- Borough Market open on Friday from 11.am and on Satureday from 9.am is well worth a visit. It is a 'farmers' market with organic foods from all over Europe, excellent cheese, bread, deli, wonderful fruit with an opera-singing vendor.
- En route to Borough market is one of the best cheese shops in London and an excellent café for breakfast - their 'bubble and squeak' is beyond compare.
- Many restaurants in the immediate area.

- Tate Modern Art Gallery -- Don't miss the art!
- Shakespeare's Globe -- Open in the summer months for performances - the best, most lucid Shakespear you are likely to hear. Go in restricted view or as a 'groundling' rather than miss as unique theatrical experience. If the theatre is not open visit the exhibition.
- The Tower of London -- Walk down Tooley Street and across Tower Bridge then back up the other side and across London Bridge.
- The Design Museum -- A good walk along the river to the East to Britain's only museum of modern design.
- HMS Belfast -- A branch of the Imperial War Museum - you can walk thro a World War 2 battleship.
- The Golden Hinde -- Drake's pirate galleon - great for kids.
- Southwark Cathedral -- Beautiful cathedral ' 19th century reproduction of the Medieval perpendicular style.
- Jerwood Space -- Art gallery and café just down Union Street. Actually the area is peppered with galleries.
- The Old Operating Theatre and Herb Garret -- Just at the beginning of St.thomas Street. A very small museum fascinating - don't miss it.
- St.Paul's Cathedral -- Go for one of the Sunday Evening organ concerts and miss the other tourists.
- Many of the city churches have lunchtime concerts.
- The South Bank Centre -- Walk up the river side past the Tate Modern to visit.
