Description: Berry Cottage is a 200-year-old cottage in a breathtaking location on the waterfront at Dittisham. Access to the cottage is via a quayside path offering splendid views across the river. The terraced garden, with its idyllic summerhouse, gives total privacy and stunning views. Dittisham is one of the prettiest and most unspoilt villages within the South Hams. It boasts 2 excellent pubs, a riverside tearoom, a well stocked village store and the opportunity to hire a variety of boats to explore the upper reaches of River Dart. For the young, and the young at heart, Dittisham is the perfect place for 'crabbing' - lines and bait are available at the tearooms! The historic town of Dartmouth is 5 miles away - famous for The Carved Angel, an award-wining restaurant, and numerous other pubs. During the summer months, a passenger ferry service to Dartmouth operates on the hour, perfect for those wishing to escape the car. A further ferry, summoned by ringing a large brass ship's bell on the sea wall, takes passengers across to Greenway - former home of Agatha Christie. From Dartmouth, it is possible to take river trips up to the picturesque town of Totnes, and a wonderful steam train carries passengers from Kingswear on the opposite bank of the river, across to Paignton.
