Description: This traditional detached, listed, cottage occupies the most picturesque location in the historic conservation village of Ceres. It looks across the arched 17th century "Bishop's Bridge", which is named after the notorious Archbishop Sharp. The oldest Highland Games and Fair in Scotland are held annually on the park and green just across the burn, on the last Saturday in June and preceding two days. The Fife Folk Museum, a coffee shop, an antique shop and the excellent Ceres Inn are all within 150 yards of the cottage. The village also supports another good hotel, a general store and post office, a gallery, and the famous Griselda Hill (Wemyss) pottery. Ceres is 9 miles from the ancient university town of St. Andrews (the home of golf); around 12-15 miles from the East Fife fishing villages of Anstruther and Crail; 50 miles from Pitlochry (in the heart of the Highlands) and 37 miles from Edinburgh Airport.Accommodation: Ground floor: Entrance hall, sitting room with window facing the bridge.
