Description: We are very pleased to be able to offer our guests 3 thoughtfully renovated cottages in the grounds of Mill House which is set in the beautiful Lune Valley - Mill Cottage, Northerdale and Southerdale. These small yet enchanting 17th century cottages were originally textile workers' dwellings based on an old cottage industry on Millbeck, which still flows close by down Middleton Fell to the River Lune. The cottages, which offer peace and tranquility in glorious unspoilt walking country, are set at the end of a private gravelled track which leads directly onto open Fell - home to sheep and a herd of red deer. Middleton is a small hamlet with a local pub and church. The attractive market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with its restaurants, pubs, shops and 2 golf courses is within a 15-minute drive. The Lune Valley is within easy reach of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, the Howgill Fells and The Three Peaks - Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-Y-Ghent. The motorway is also only a 15-minute drive away. Minimum 3 night stays through out the year, but may be reduced to 2 nights for last minute bookings.Accommodation: Ground floor: Open plan sitting room, dining area and fitted kitchen with pitch pine floors throughout.
